Many overlook the fact that Govedarti is the closest residential area to the budding ski resort of Malyiovitsa. This resort is not to well known to Western tourists but should should not be overlooked as the skiing is great. There are ski lifts and quality ski runs that benefit from having substantial snow coverage from December through untill beginning of April. In summer, Malyovitsa is equally worth visiting aswekk as the scenery is truly stunning.
